Judaculla’s Kids First Meeting
The Center for Native Health is helping launch Judaculla’s Kids, a new conservation and cultural club for 3rd–6th graders at New Kituwah Academy!
This collaborative effort brings together NKA, the EBCI Natural Resources Department, and The Wilderness Society. The club’s name, Judaculla’s Kids, was chosen to honor Judaculla’s teachings of balance, respect, reciprocity, and sustainability.
At the first meeting, students explored conservation through Cherokee stories like The Origin of Medicine and The Legend of Judaculla, then painted rocks with symbols of what they want to protect.
We’re excited to see how Judaculla’s Kids continues to grow and inspire future caretakers of the land.
