Judaculla’s Kids

Judaculla’s Kids is New Kituwah Academy’s conservation club for 3rd through 6th-grade students. The name was selected to embody Judaculla’s principles of balance, respect, reciprocity, and sustainability.

The foundation of Judaculla’s Kids is rooted in Cherokee culture, particularly through storytelling. Many Cherokee stories offer valuable lessons, and a key objective for this club is to help students identify and apply these lessons to contemporary environmental, climate, social, and health challenges. We believe that actively engaging children in Cherokee cultural and environmental conservation is crucial. By fostering their advocacy, we can preserve and revitalize vital resources for both current and future generations.

The Judaculla's Kids club holds monthly meetings and the planning team organizes quarterly field trips.
